A long-term partnership that delivered consistent results

Serps Invaders worked as Version 1’s trusted Paid and Organic search partner for 5+ years, spanning from 2019 to 2025. During this time, we supported them through many critical phases and an extensive period of growth, including a growing internal team, change in management, a major site restructure, the evolution of strategic goals and change in CEO.

Client background and goals

Version 1 is a leading IT company that empowers their customers to transform their business challenges into effective change. They specialise in digital transformation, serving both public and private sector clients in cloud transformation, managed services, data analytics, ERP and much more.

Our objectives evolved over the years but our main focus remained:

  • SEO strategy management for both the marketing and recruitment team
  • PPC campaign management for both the marketing and recruitment team
  • Paid social consultancy
  • Training provision
  • Management of their Tag Manager, Analytics and Dashboards

How did we get results?

To ensure that the above was carried out successfully, we took a collaborative cross-channel approach. At all stages, our SEO, PPC and Paid Social (LinkedIn) strategies were designed to work together and achieve a ‘halo’ effect of improvement in traffic and lead generation across all channels. 

In particular, our SEO activities delivered consistent increases in traffic and MQLs and the PPC campaigns delivered increased traffic (both impressions and clicks) for the period of our cooperation. We were working together on setting up meaningful conversions for business and optimising the conversion flow. We managed to improve metrics such as conversion rate, CPA and interaction rates. Alongside the lead generation campaign and building brand awareness, the campaigns managed to deliver strong business results that resulted in valuable B2B sales.

Our internal teams were in constant communication with each other and the client, working proactively based off of results. These results were monitored via the Analytics that we helped the client to set up including a migration from Universal Analytics to GA4, as well as bespoke Lookerstudio dashboards with Supermetrics integration. This empowered both us and the client to keep on top of progress of KPIs, taking a test and learn approach based on results. 

Lastly, throughout the 5+ years we provided on-going training to the client’s marketing team across various areas of Paid, Organic and Analytics. This helped to upskill their internal marketing team that was quickly expanding over time and empowered them to eventually bring many areas of management in house.
