We worked seamlessly with the client and their appointed design agency, to successfully deliver a site re-design and migration that equally balanced the brand, the user experience and SEO.

Client background and goals

SEAT is a Spanish automobile manufacturer with an online presence that reaches worldwide. The company is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of the German Volkswagen Group and marketed as a car maker who specialises in contemporary sporty designs, combined with beauty, style, functionality, technology and reliability.

Their website needed to reflect this branding as well and Serps Invaders were brought on board to support the design agency and ensure a smooth transition and retention of traffic for Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Our objectives were:

  • Ensure smooth transition from old site structure to new design
  • Optimise the new site to maintain and increase visibility
  • Provide link building and content creation services

How did we achieve this?

To meet these objectives, we developed an international SEO migration strategy. We took a localised approach to each market, including an in-depth site architecture review, content review / optimisation and regional geo-location mark-ups to ensure that the right content was served to the right users in the right place.

Once the site was launched, we prepared a bespoke on-going SEO strategy incorporating content development, online PR and outreach.

The client’s website was successfully launched and we continued to work together over the course of a 1.5 year period.
